Selling at auction: instructions

Why sell at auction?

  • To make sure you don’t miss out on seemingly insignificant objects that could be treasures.
  • To get the best price for your object by putting thousands of buyers around the world in competition with each other thanks to maximum visibility.
  • To pay quickly and avoid any future disputes in the event of divorce, separation, inheritance, moving house, personal debts (unpaid rent, tax arrears, etc.) or professional debts to be honored (suspension of payments, URSSAF or RSI adjustment, etc.), an insurance assessment (theft, fire, damage, burglary, etc.) or simply regarding the evolution of your collection.

With a fee calculated on the final price (the hammer price), the auctioneer shares the same interest as the sellers:
to achieve the highest price.

How to sell at auction?

  • By sending us photographs of your object on this page or by visiting our auction house without an appointment (Tuesday to Friday from 11am to 7pm, Saturday from 2pm to 7pm) at 49 rue Saint-Sabin 75011 Paris.
  • Your items will then be included in one of our weekly auctions, held every Saturday morning at 10.30am, after having been appraised, photographed, catalogued, exhibited and broadcast on the internet and social networks (Drouot, Interenchères, Auction, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, etc.).
  • The auction, orchestrated by one of our auctioneers in our auction room, is broadcast live on video to buyers around the world.
  • We will pay you by bank transfer from the fifteenth day after the sale.
